Registered Nurse - Telemetry (RN) in Ithaca, NY

Key Details:

• Schedule: Every other weekend and every other holiday required

• Epic electronic health records system experience required

Desired Qualifications:

• Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse license
• At least one year of recent telemetry experience
• Proficiency in Epic charting and documentation
• Strong communication abilities for collaborating with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams
• Adaptability and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
• BLS certification required; additional certifications in telemetry or advanced cardiac monitoring preferred

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive bedside care to Telemetry patients, closely monitoring vital signs and cardiac rhythms
• Interpret telemetry data and promptly report changes or concerns to the healthcare team
• Execute physician orders and interdisciplinary care plans
• Maintain accurate and timely electronic health records utilizing Epic software
• Educate patients and their families on diagnoses, treatments, and ongoing care needs
• Uphold strict standards of infection control, patient safety, and privacy
• Participate in shift handoffs, team meetings, and quality initiatives as needed
