Registered Nurse - Telemetry (RN) in Pacoima, CA

An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Registered Nurse skilled in Telemetry. This contract role is designed for those with a passion for cardiac nursing and an aptitude for high-acuity monitoring. The position entails a 13-week engagement, offering a fast-paced environment where clinical expertise is highly valued.

Schedule/Hours:

• 36 or 48 hours per week—Day shifts are available

Required Qualifications:

• Active California RN license in good standing
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification
• Proficiency in Epic electronic medical record system
• Prior experience as a Telemetry RN or in a cardiac-focused nursing role

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor, assess, and care for patients on a telemetry unit, providing specialized cardiac assessments and interventions
• Administer prescribed medications and accurately document patient responses
• Interpret and respond to changes in rhythm strips and vital signs, escalating care as appropriate
• Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams to support patient recovery and readiness for discharge
• Educate patients and families on cardiac conditions, care plans, and health management
• Maintain meticulous patient records using Epic and adhere strictly to all facility protocols
