Registered Nurse - Telemetry | Pittsford, New York

Required Qualifications & Experience:

• Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum of one year of recent experience in a Telemetry (RN-Tele) setting
• Strong cardiac monitoring and assessment skills
• Ability to interpret EKG rhythms and respond to acute changes swiftly
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Excellent communication, documentation, and organizational abilities
• Proficiency in working with interdisciplinary healthcare teams
• Commitment to upholding high standards of patient safety and confidentiality

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct nursing care to patients on telemetry units, adhering to standardized protocols and individualized care plans
• Continuously monitor cardiac rhythms and vital signs, intervening as necessary and escalating changes appropriately
• Collaborate closely with physicians and allied health staff to optimize patient outcomes
• Educate patients and families on care processes, medication management, and ongoing health needs
• Administer medications, perform assessments, and document care accurately in patient records
• Support a safe and therapeutic environment for all patients under your care
