Registered Nurse - Telemetry - Pittsford, New York

Deliver direct patient care and critical monitoring in a fast-paced telemetry unit. This contract opportunity is ideal for a Registered Nurse who thrives in dynamic clinical environments and has a passion for cardiac and telemetry-focused care.

Qualifications:

• Active and unencumbered RN license
• Minimum of one year recent experience in a telemetry or cardiac step-down unit
• Strong knowledge of cardiac rhythms and the ability to interpret telemetry strips
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Demonstrated adaptability to changing patient needs and unit priorities
• Excellent communication and documentation skills

Responsibilities:

• Assess, plan, and implement safe nursing care for patients requiring cardiac monitoring
• Monitor patient condition and quickly respond to changes or abnormalities in cardiac rhythms
• Administer medications and treatments according to established protocols
• Coordinate with physicians, interdisciplinary teams, and families for comprehensive patient care
• Accurately document assessments, interventions, and patient progress in the medical record
• Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding cardiac care and recovery
