Key Qualifications:
- Active and unencumbered RN license
- Minimum of 1 year of recent experience in Telemetry nursing
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking abilities
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency with electronic health records and cardiac monitoring equipment
Essential Responsibilities:
- Continuously monitor cardiac rhythms and interpret EKGs for assigned patients
- Manage medication administration and assess patient responses
- Respond promptly to changes in patient condition or telemetry readings
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary staff to develop and modify individualized care plans
- Provide patient and family education related to cardiac care and treatment
- Document patient status, care provided, and interventions according to regulatory standards
- Participate in shift hand-offs, interdisciplinary meetings, and quality improvement initiatives
