Elementary school Special education teacher- 2024/2025 school year

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Special Education Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience working with elementary school students with diverse learning needs and will be adept at implementing both push-in and pull-out services to support students in reaching their individualized education goals.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with general education teachers to provide support and accommodations for students with special needs in the general education classroom (push-in services).
• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with disabilities.
• Provide small group instruction and targeted interventions for students with special needs (pull-out services).
• Utilize evidence-based teaching strategies and differentiated instruction to meet the diverse needs of students.
• Monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies accordingly.
• Communicate regularly with parents/guardians, school staff, and other stakeholders regarding student progress and needs.
• Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and other collaborative planning sessions.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field (Master's degree preferred).
• Valid Wisconsin teaching license with Special Education certification.
• Experience working with elementary school students with diverse learning needs.
• Knowledge of special education laws, regulations, and best practices.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to differentiate instruction and adapt teaching strategies to meet the needs of individual students.
• Commitment to creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment for all students.
