Discipline needed/How Many: Elementary Separate Setting SPED Teacher - 3

Start/End Date: July 31, 2024 through May 23, 2025

Hours per week / Shift: Full-time, 7.5 hours/day

Grade levels covered: K-5

Caseload size:

  • 12-15 for Mild/Mod Classrooms
  • 30-35 for Resource Teacher

Number of campuses assigned and location:

  • Elementary: Needs 1 EC Mild/Mod Teacher
  • Elementary: Needs 1 EC Mild/Mod Teacher
  • Middle School: Needs 1 EC Mild/Mod Teacher

Experience level: New Grad/Out-of-state okay?

  • Certified in Special Education: Adapted Curriculum

Primary Duties of position:

  • Develop and implement instructional plans compatible with school and district-wide curricular goals and students’ Individual Education Program (IEP).
  • Develop Individual Education Programs (IEPs) for students with disabilities and implement them.
  • Use diagnostic information to update IEPs as needed.
  • Provide direct special education instruction to identified students, employing a variety of teaching methods to meet their needs.
  • Monitor student behavior, deescalate inappropriate behaviors, and maintain discipline in the classroom.
  • Teach appropriate behavioral strategies and assist with personal and self-help needs of disabled students.
  • Communicate with parents regarding their children’s educational progress via periodic written progress reports.
  • Act as a case coordinator for assigned students, consulting with community care-givers, school support professionals, and parents.
  • Complete additional assignments as assigned by supervisor.

Software/Systems used: ECATS, Canvas, Chromebooks, etc.
