Shift: 6:30 AM - 5:00 PM, with 1 overnight call per week and 3rd call on weekends

Charting: Allscripts

Job Description:
We are currently seeking a skilled First Assist Tech to join our team in the main operating room at Jeffersonville, IN. The successful candidate will assist in a variety of surgeries including orthopedics, general surgery, spine, gynecology, vascular, and urology. The role requires a commitment to patient safety, teamwork, and professionalism.

Responsibilities:
- Assist surgical team during procedures as a first assistant
- Maintain sterile field during surgery
- Anticipate surgeon's needs and assist accordingly
- Ensure accurate documentation using Allscripts
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to provide high-quality patient care
- Participate in on-call rotations including overnight calls and weekends

Requirements:
- Valid BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification
- Previous experience as a First Assist Tech preferred
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Flexibility to float to outpatient OR or Norton Scott Hospital as needed
