Job Title: Special Education Teacher 
 
Job Details: 

• Contracted start date: July 31^st, 2024
• Contracted end date: May 23^rd, 2025
• Caseloads: K-5
• Must have active license/certifications in North Carolina
• Compensation: $35+/hour
• Weekly Pay + Benefits
• 37.5 hours per week

 
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: 

• Assessing students' skills and learning requirements  
• Adapting lesson plans to meet each student' individualized needs  
• Tracking the student's performance
• Restrains students when necessary
• Periodically communicates with parents regarding their child’s educational progress
• Maintains discipline in the classroom
• Consults with school support professionals, community care-givers, and parents to better understand and meet each child’s needs
• Assisting disabled students with their personal and self-help needs  
• Developing, modifying, and updating IEPs 

Requirements: 

• Active NC Special Education License 
• Experience working in an Adaptive classroom
• Experience with ECATS, Canvas, and Chromebooks preferred
