Job Description:
We are partnering with school in the Oak Lawn area to recruit a dedicated and enthusiastic Junior High Special Education Teacher for a full-time position during the 2024-2025 academic year. This position will focus on providing support in Mathematics and English Language Arts (ELA) to students with diverse learning needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs in Math and ELA.
  • Deliver high-quality instruction using evidence-based practices and differentiated instructional strategies.
  • Collaborate with school staff and parents to support student learning and progress towards academic goals.
  • Utilize assessment data to inform instructional decisions and monitor student progress.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of student performance and progress.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Valid state teaching certification in Special Education.
  • Previous experience working with students with disabilities, preferably in a junior high school setting.
  • Strong knowledge of Math and ELA curriculum and instructional practices.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to adapt instruction to meet the diverse needs of students.
