K-12 Special Education (SPED) Teacher

Job Description: Soliant and its affiliates are seeking a dedicated Special Education (SPED) Teacher to join our team in Bellevue, NE. As a SPED Teacher, you will play a crucial role in providing specialized instruction and support to students with diverse learning needs. Working collaboratively with a team of educators and support staff, you will develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) to ensure the academic and social-emotional success of each student.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs
- Provide direct instruction in academic subjects, life skills, and social-emotional development
- Utilize differentiated instruction and instructional accommodations to meet the diverse needs of students
- Assess student progress and adjust teaching strategies as needed
- Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and other stakeholders to support student learning and achievement
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student progress and services provided
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field
- Valid Nebraska teaching license with appropriate SPED endorsement
- Minimum of one year of recent experience working as a SPED Teacher
- Strong understanding of special education laws, regulations, and best practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
