Marshall, VA: School SLP

Calling on SLPs (Clinical fellows too!) who want to live and work in with a smaller sized school community. Soliant is collaborating with a team near Marshall, VA (about 30 minutes outside of Manassas, VA) to place a contract SLP for the upcoming year.

The position is full-time, with caseload assignments in two elementary schools. Contract applicants are typically expected to be comfortable with changing caseloads as the school year progresses. 

We seek applicants with the following core competencies:

• Solid problem solving skills: be curious, ask questions, and think your way around a problem
• Flexibility: manage shifting priorities and uncertainties
• Good written and verbal communication skills. Students, staff and parents depend on you to treat, coach and educate them
• Organization skills: maintain accurate records and create a system for sharing information with others
• Up-to-date knowledge of speech and language disorders, therapy or activities for school children, and Special Education procedures in a public school setting

Education and license requirements:

• Master's degree in Communication Disorders or Speech-Language Pathology
• Virginia license in Speech-Language Pathology
