Job Title: Special Education Teacher (Middle School)

Location: Utah

Contract Period: August 19 - June 5

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:00 am - 3:00 pm (approx. 37.5 hours per week)

Number of Work Days: 184

Case Load: 15 mild/moderate students

Description: We are seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher for a Middle School setting in Utah. This position is a contract role for the academic year, running from August 19 to June 5. The selected candidate will work Monday through Friday, with hours typically from 7:00 am to 3:00 pm, totaling approximately 37.5 hours per week.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for students
• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment conducive to learning
• Provide direct instruction to students with mild to moderate disabilities
• Collaborate with school staff, parents, and other professionals to support student success
• Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies as needed
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records and documentation

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field (required)
• Utah state teaching license in Special Education (required)
• Experience working with middle school students with disabilities (preferred)
• Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
