Job Description:
We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) to join our team on a contract basis. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in perioperative nursing and possess the skills necessary to excel in a fast-paced surgical environment. The OR RN will be responsible for providing direct patient care during surgical procedures, collaborating with surgeons and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes, and maintaining a safe and sterile surgical environment. 

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care before, during, and after surgical procedures
- Assist surgeons and other healthcare team members as needed
- Maintain a sterile field in the operating room
- Monitor patient vital signs and respond to changes in condition
- Administer medications and anesthesia as directed
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory and safety standards
- Participate in on-call rotations and weekend availability as required
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation

Qualifications:
- Valid RN license in the state of Connecticut
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working as an OR nurse
- BLS and ACLS certification required
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Flexibility to work 3 (12) hour shifts or 4 (10) hour shifts with call and weekend availability
