Job Description:

We are currently seeking a skilled Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) for a contract position in Ypsilanti, MI. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in orthopedic procedures and demonstrate proficiency in perioperative nursing care.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients undergoing surgical procedures in the operating room setting.
2. Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
3. Assist surgeons during procedures by anticipating their needs and maintaining a sterile environment.
4. Monitor patient vital signs and response to anesthesia throughout the perioperative period.
5. Adhere to established protocols and guidelines to promote patient safety and quality care delivery.
6. Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and in a timely manner.
7. Participate in ongoing professional development activities to enhance clinical knowledge and skills.
8. Maintain current BLS certification and fulfill all continuing education requirements.

Qualifications:

1. Active Registered Nurse license in the state of Michigan.
2. Minimum of 2 years of recent experience working in the operating room, preferably with a focus on orthopedic procedures.
3. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
4. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
5. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.
6. Flexibility to work 12-hour shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed.
