Soliant has partnered with a charter school in Columbus, OH, and is seeking a contract Speech-Language Pathologist for 10-15 hours a week to provide coverage for the remainder of the school year. 

The caseload consists of 8-10 students based in 2 different campuses. Additional details about these children's service minutes, the need for compensatory services, and case management responsibilities, will be shared in a direct interview with school administrators.

Duties include:

  • Providing speech and/or language therapy to students identified with communication disorders.
  • Maintaining accurate service records of students on caseload
  • Evaluating students with suspected communication disorders; making recommendations for speech and language services as needed
  • Providing comprehensive written report of observations, assessment results, and recommendations within the standards established by state guidelines
  • Developing speech and language goals in Individualized Education Programs
  • Developing integrated goals with other education staff for students with multiple or other disabilities.
  • Consulting with school staff and parents on the inclusion of materials to support speech and language development, or other areas of curriculum related to speech and language.

Requirements:

  • ASHA certified Speech-Language Pathologists preferred due to the part-time nature of this assignment
  • Clinical fellows who can be flexible with a part-time arrangement will be considered too
  • Ohio SLP license
  • Completion of background checks mandated by the Ohio Department of Education
