Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Resource Specialist to join our team for the 2024-2025 school year. As a Resource Specialist, you will play a key role in supporting students with diverse learning needs, collaborating with educators, and developing individualized plans to help students succeed academically and socially.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide specialized instruction and support to students with learning disabilities and other educational challenges.
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for students.
  • Conduct assessments and monitor student progress to ensure effective instructional strategies.
  • Utilize a variety of teaching techniques and resources to meet the individual needs of students.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to student progress and services provided.
  • Participate in professional development activities and stay updated on best practices in special education.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Valid California Teaching Credential with Special Education Authorization.
  • Experience working with students with diverse learning needs, including those with learning disabilities, ADHD, and autism spectrum disorders.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to create and implement effective instructional plans tailored to individual student needs.
  • Knowledge of special education laws, regulations, and best practices.
