Special Education (SPED) Teacher

Location: Easton, MD

Job Description: Soliant and its affiliates are seeking a dedicated Special Education (SPED) Teacher to join our team in Easton, MD. As a SPED Teacher, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional educational services to students with diverse learning needs. Collaborating with other educators, administrators, and support staff, you will create and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to meet the unique needs of each student.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs
• Provide direct instruction in academic subjects, life skills, and social-emotional development
• Differentiate instruction to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities
• Assess student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly
• Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and other stakeholders to ensure student success
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of student progress and services provided

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field
• Valid Maryland teaching license with appropriate SPED endorsement
• At least one year of recent experience working as a SPED Teacher
• Strong knowledge of special education laws, regulations, and best practices
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
• Commitment to providing high-quality educational services to students with special needs
