We are seeking a dedicated educator to work with 1st and 2nd graders in a special program, providing individualized instruction and support to meet the diverse needs of our students.

Location: Fruitvale, OR
Position Type: Full-Time, In-Person
Term: August 26, 2024 – June 12, 2025
Grade Level: 1st and 2nd Grade

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement personalized education plans for students with special needs, focusing on academic, social, and behavioral growth.
• Collaborate closely with general education teachers, support staff, and parents to ensure a cohesive and inclusive learning experience for all students.
• Utilize evidence-based teaching strategies and instructional materials to engage students and facilitate learning in various subjects.
• Monitor student progress through ongoing assessment and data collection, adjusting instruction and interventions as needed to support student growth.
• Foster a positive and nurturing classroom environment where students feel valued, supported, and encouraged to reach their full potential.

Qualifications:

• Valid Oregon teaching license in Special Education
• Experience working with elementary school-aged children with diverse learning needs.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, families, and community partners.
• Patient, compassionate, and flexible approach to teaching and supporting students with varying abilities and backgrounds.
