Job Title: Special Education Teacher
Job Type: Full-time (37.5 hours/week)
Job Description:
We are seeking passionate and dedicated Special Education Teachers to join our team in Montecito, CA for the 2023-2024 academic year. As a Special Education Teacher in our program, you will work with a diverse student population across multiple caseload options, including mild/moderate and moderate/severe disabilities.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for each student based on their unique needs and goals
- Provide differentiated instruction and accommodations to support students' academic, social-emotional, and behavioral development
- Monitor student progress and adjust instruction as needed to ensure academic growth
- Collaborate with parents, general education teachers, and other professionals to ensure a comprehensive and effective approach to education
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of student progress and participation in IEP meetings.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education or related field
- Valid California Special Education Teaching credential or ability to obtain one
- Experience working with diverse student populations and knowledge of evidence-based teaching strategies and accommodations
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
