Job Description:

Soliant is seeking dedicated and passionate Special Education (SPED) Teachers to join our team for the upcoming school year. Our mission is to provide a supportive and inclusive learning environment for all students. We are looking for individuals who are committed to making a difference in the lives of students with special needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with disabilities.
  • Adapt teaching methods and instructional materials to meet students' varying needs and interests.
  • Assess students’ skills and determine their educational needs.
  • Collaborate with other teachers, staff, and parents to ensure students’ success.
  • Monitor students' progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly.
  • Maintain accurate and complete student records as required by laws, district policies, and administrative regulations.
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports the academic and social development of all students.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field.
  • Valid Minnesota teaching license with a Special Education endorsement.
  • Experience working with students with special needs.
  • Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a team.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Special Education.
  • Experience with a diverse student population.
  • Knowledge of current trends and best practices in special education.
  • Proficiency in assistive technology and adaptive tools for students with disabilities.
