Employment Type: Part-Time, Onsite 
 

Soliant is seeking multiple dedicated Special Education Teachers to join our team for the 2023-24 extended school year. This position offers the opportunity to teach MIPA (Multi-Intervention Program for Students with Autism) and life skills classes, and it involves working with K-12 students. This position is part-time, onsite, and located near Alexandria, VA.
 

What You'll Do:

  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with disabilities.
  • Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to differentiate instruction and accommodate the needs of students with disabilities.
  • Assess student progress regularly and adjust instructional strategies as needed.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student performance and progress towards IEP goals.
  • Facilitate MIPA and life skills classes for students with autism and other behavioral disabilities

 

What We're Looking For:

  • Master's degree in Special Education or a related field.
  • Valid Virginia state licensure as a Special Education Teacher.
  • Experience as a special education teacher, specifically experience teaching MIPA and life skills classes required 
  • Experience with students who have significant and complex needs required
  • Strong understanding of special education laws and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
