Special Education Teacher (SPED) Contract Job

We are in partnership with a distinguished school district in the Manassas area, is currently seeking a committed Full-Time Special Education Teacher for a pivotal role within a special education setting.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs, ensuring academic, social, and emotional growth.
• Provide differentiated instruction and support to meet the diverse learning needs of students.
• Collaborate closely with support staff, therapists, and parents/guardians to create a nurturing and inclusive learning environment.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress, behavior, and IEP meetings in compliance with state and federal regulations.

Requirements:

• Valid state teaching credential with appropriate endorsements for Special Education (please specify exact licensure or certification requirements).
• Preferably, a minimum of one year of experience teaching in a special education setting.
• Thorough understanding of special education laws, regulations, and best practices.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
