Special Education Teacher (SPED) Contract Position

We are, in collaboration with a distinguished school district in the Fairfield area, is seeking a dedicated Full-Time Special Education Teacher for a vital role within a special education setting.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs, ensuring their academic, social, and emotional growth.
• Provide differentiated instruction and accommodations to meet the diverse learning needs of students.
• Collaborate with support staff, therapists, and parents/guardians to create a supportive learning environment conducive to student success.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress, behavior, and IEP meetings in compliance with state and federal regulations.

Requirements:

• Valid state teaching credential with appropriate endorsements for Special Education (please specify exact licensure or certification requirements).
• Preferably, a minimum of one year of experience teaching in a special education setting.
• Strong understanding of special education laws, regulations, and best practices.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
