Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Special Education Teacher to join our team for the upcoming academic year. The ideal candidate will have experience working with middle school students in a resource room setting and possess the necessary credentials to provide exceptional support and instruction to students with diverse learning needs. As a Special Education Teacher, you will collaborate with colleagues, develop individualized education plans (IEPs), and implement effective teaching strategies to promote student success and growth.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with diverse learning needs
• Provide direct instruction and support to students in the resource room setting
• Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to ensure the implementation of accommodations and modifications
• Monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies as needed
• Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes student engagement and success
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of student progress, behavior, and interventions
• Participate in team meetings, professional development opportunities, and school-wide initiatives

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field
• Active Special Education (SPED) license
• Active Teaching license
• Experience working with middle school students in a resource room setting preferred
• Strong knowledge of special education laws, regulations, and best practices
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
