Summer School Special Education Teacher (SPED) Opening - Berwyn, IL - Pre-School Caseload

A preschool in the Berwyn, Illinois area is looking to find a contracted, on-site, part-time Special Education Teacher (SPED) for the summer school session. We are looking for a knowledgeable and compassionate candidate to join our Special Education team and work with Preschool students!

Position Details:

• 06/10/2024 - 07/02/2024
• Part-time / Monday - Thursday, 7:45 am - 12:15 pm 
• Pay Rate: $25 - $45 per hour, depending on previous experience
• Caseload: Self-Contained classroom, Preschool students
• Additional caseload details will be discussed and provided during the interview process

Requirements:

• Must have an active Illinois LBS1 and PEL 
• Must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Special Education, or related field

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement IEPs that cater to the specific needs of each student, setting achievable and measurable educational goals.
• Use a variety of instructional strategies and materials to enhance learning and meet the diverse needs of students.
• Assess students’ performance and track their progress, adapting educational plans accordingly.
