Surgical Tech - Grand Island Nebraska

**Job Title:** Surgical Technician

**Location:** Grand Island, Nebraska

**Schedule:** 5 days a week, 8-hour shifts (6:30 AM - 3:00 PM)

**Department:** Operating Room (Tech)

**Certifications Required:** BLS (Basic Life Support)

**Experience Required:** Neuro and Cranial experience, specifically craniotomy/neurosurgery

**Responsibilities:**
- Assist surgical team in the operating room during neurosurgery procedures
- Prepare operating room for surgical procedures, ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are available
- Sterilize and maintain surgical instruments
- Provide support to surgeons and nurses during surgeries
- Ensure proper handling and disposal of surgical specimens
- Maintain a sterile environment in the operating room

**Must-Have Skills:**
- Proficiency in various surgical procedures
- Strong knowledge and experience in neurosurgery and craniotomy
- Ability to work effectively as part of a surgical team
- Attention to detail and adherence to sterile techniques

**Additional Requirements:**
- Availability for on-call shifts: 1 weeknight per week, every 5th or 6th weekend (Saturday/Sunday), and rotating holiday call
- Willingness to float to pre/post-op and emergency room for trauma cases
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
