Travel Radiation Therapist Position (Contract) - Baltimore, MD

This position is a day shift available for 13 weeks, with a requirement to work 40 hours per week. Extension requests are highly probable for this travel position.

Shift/Qualification Requirements

• Shift: Day Shift, 40 hours/wk. No weekends or holidays.
• Contract Length: 8 weeks!
• Required Certificates: ARRT, BLS required (AHA).
• Active MD State License.
• 2+ Years of experience required.
• Must have Elekta and Mosaiq experience. 

Specialty Overview

As a radiation therapist, candidates work under an oncologist as part of a medical team to prepare patients and administer radiation treatments for cancer and some other conditions. They take precise measurements of patients for treatment and may fit them with specialized equipment to be used during sessions.

During treatment, they will monitor the patient's responses, including side effects, and may adjust the schedule or doses of radiation accordingly. They may work at a hospital or at a freestanding cancer treatment center.
