Job Description:
We are currently seeking an experienced Travel Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team at a Level One Trauma Center in Portland, Maine. This position specializes in Gynecology and Genitourinary procedures. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of experience in level 1 training and demonstrate proficiency in surgical nursing, exceptional patient care, and the ability to excel in a fast-paced, high-stress environment.
Responsibilities:
- Provide expert nursing care during Gynecology and Genitourinary procedures
- Demonstrate competency in Robotics (Davinci Xi), PCNLs, Nephrectomies, Ureteral Reimplants, Hysterectomies, Cystectomies, Colpocleisis, Hysteroscopies, and Ureteroscopies
- Comfortably manage patients across a wide age range from pediatrics to geriatrics
- Adhere to established nursing standards, protocols, and procedures
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care
- Participate in on-call duties as required, including overnight trauma call and specialty team call rotations (Cardiac, Thoracic, Vascular, Neuro, Ortho)
Requirements:
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Maine
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in level 1 training
- CNOR certification preferred but not required
- Proficiency in Gynecology and Genitourinary procedures
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic and challenging environment
- BLS and ACLS certifications
- Experience with trauma call and specialty team call rotations is advantageous
