Emergency Medicine Jobs in South Dakota

Practicing Emergency Medicine is an extremely rewarding career, it can also leave you stressed and gripping for dry land at the end of a long day. If you choose to practice this noble career in South Dakota, however, places to relax and rejuvenate are just around the bend, the Missouri River bend that is. The River divides the state into two very different regions. On the east you’ll find the richest soil in the United States growing a variety of crops. The west side gets wild with cattle, horses and Cowboys on ranches as far as the eye can see.

Though very distinct, South Dakota’s rich history and interesting places to visit can be found on both the east and west sides of the river. In the famous Black Hills, Wind Cave National Park was established in 1903. Home to an extensive network of underground caves and huge bison, Wind Cave National Park is the perfect place for exploring. Mount Rushmore National Memorial was established in 1925. This world-famous monument features the mountain sculpture by Gutzon Borglum of four former U.S. presidents. No, Toto, you’re not in Kansas anymore. You’re in Aberdeen, SD at the Land of Oz amusement park. Travel over the rainbow and see cows and chickens fly through the air at Dorothy’s House. In Storybook Land kids can meet their favorite fairytale characters. Sit on a wall with Humpty Dumpty or take a trip to Grandma’s house with Little Red Riding Hood. Hop in the car with the family and embark on a “scenic drive” like no other on The National American Scenic Byway which travels through the heart of South Dakota and extends through the Great Sioux Nation.

Whether traveling this life as a free spirit or with your loved ones, South Dakota will make you feel at home.
