Employment Type: Full-Time Contractor through Soliant Education

Soliant Education is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic 8th Grade Science Teacher to join our team in Danville, VA. Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with state standards and curriculum objectives in the field of science.
• Cultivate a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages inquiry, critical thinking, and scientific exploration.
• Utilize a variety of instructional strategies and resources to facilitate student understanding of scientific concepts and principles.
• Differentiate instruction to accommodate the diverse learning needs of students.
• Assess student learning regularly through formative and summative assessments and provide constructive feedback to students and parents/guardians.
• Collaborate with colleagues, administrators, and parents/guardians to support student success and enhance the overall learning experience.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Education, Science, or related field (Master's degree preferred).
• Valid teaching license/certification in Science or eligibility for licensure in the state of Virginia.
• Previous experience teaching science at the middle school level is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of 8th-grade science curriculum and pedagogical best practices.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and growth.
