Job Opportunity: Reading Specialist & Math Teacher - Contracted Position

Are you an experienced Reading Specialist & Math Teacher seeking a new career opportunity? Soliant is currently hiring for a combined role near the Lynport, PA area for the 2023-2024 school year.

Details:

• Duration: Immediate start through June 7, 2024
• Hours per week: 29
• Caseload: Still being developed, estimated 30-35 students
• Responsibilities:
  • Implement Remedial Reading and Mathematics Services in a classroom setting under Act 89 guidelines.
  • Collaborate with nonpublic schools and staff for curriculum enhancement, instructional improvement, and professional development.
  • Design and conduct ongoing formative and summative assessments to monitor student progress and guide instruction.
  • Demonstrate extensive knowledge of content and pedagogy, continually seeking improved practices.
  • Manage student behavior effectively and respectfully, creating a conducive learning environment.
  • Provide clear, scaffolded explanations, quality feedback, and engage students in learning, adjusting lessons as needed.
  • Reflect on lesson effectiveness, aligning with instructional outcomes, and make necessary adjustments.

Requirements:

• Certification: Reading Specialist Certification
• Experience: Field experience in relevant teaching roles
