Job Description: Are you a dedicated educator passionate about supporting students with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD)? Soliant is seeking committed individuals to join our team near the Salem, MI area. This is a contracted position for the 2023-2024 school year, offering an opportunity to make a profound impact on students' lives.

Responsibilities:

• Determine and manage an appropriate caseload (maximum 7 students) with support from paraprofessionals
• Implement center-based programs, striving for inclusion opportunities in mainstream classes
• Deliver self-contained education while working towards inclusion goals
• Use Common Core State Standards and tailored strategies to address academic, developmental, and functional needs of students

Details:

• Position: Autism Spectrum Disorder Teacher
• Duration: Contracted position for the 2023-2024 school year
• Caseload: To be determined, maximum 7 students with paraprofessional support
• Center-based programs with inclusion initiatives

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree (BS or BA) in Special Education with an endorsement
• Certification in Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD)
• Proficiency in administering and interpreting academic tests
• Ability to establish effective relationships with students, peers, parents, and the community
• Strong communication skills (oral and written)
• Certification in Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) or willingness to obtain and maintain annually
• Commitment to training in applied behavior analysis
