Calling on Speech-Language Pathologists who love integrating practical lessons with their speech and language interventions! Soliant is working with a small school District in Oregon, IL, and is seeking a contract Speech-Language Pathologist for the upcoming school year.
 
The SLP will be focused exclusively on 5 Life Skills classrooms, and manage a caseload of up to 35 students. This is a great opportunity for clinicians who:
 

  • Enjoy more 1:1 attention to students
  • Have the opportunity to collaborate more with a multi-disciplinary team to design more integrated therapy or lesson plans
  • Want to look beyond the classroom to instill a more wide-ranging skillset

Requirements:

  • Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communications Disorders
  • Illinois Speech-Language Pathology License, issued by the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR)
  • Professional Educators' License (PEL), issued by the Illinois State Board of Education

As a school-based SLP, you will:

  • Assess students referred for possible speech and language needs.
  • Present evaluation results and propose IEP (Individual Education Plan) goals at IEP meetings
  • Provide individual and/or group therapy sessions for students with identified speech and language disorders.
  • Develop individualized education plans and present them to parents, school administrators, and others involved with student evaluations.
  • Consult with teachers, counselors, parents, nurses, and administrators on speech and language concerns.
  • Maintain accurate records for all students on the caseload.
  • Provide reports of a student’s progress to parents.
  • Organize student caseload and develop a schedule for each assigned school.
  • Develop resource materials for use in speech and language development.
