Preschool Speech-Language Pathologist, San Jose, CA

SLP-CCC or CF, Early Childhood

Calling on Speech-Language Pathologists (Clinical Fellows or ASHA-certified Speech Pathologists) with a passion for working with young students who need support in their language and communications development! Soliant is seeking a contract SLP who can work with preschoolers at 1 elementary school in San Jose.

Requirements:

• Master's degree in Speech Pathology or Communications Disorders
• California SLP license

Additional information about the team, and the building assignments, will be shared in a direct interview with school administrators, following a successful phone screening with Soliant representatives.

As a education setting SLP, you will:

• Assess students referred for possible speech and language needs.
• Determine eligibility for speech services, and work with an interdisciplinary team to determine appropriate goals
• Provide individual and/or group therapy sessions for children with identified speech and language disorders.
• Develop individualized education plans (for children with special education needs) and present them to parents, school administrators, and others involved with student evaluations.
• Consult with teachers, counselors, parents, nurses, and administrators on speech and language concerns.
• Maintain accurate records for all children on the caseload.
• Provide reports of children's progress to parents.
• Organize caseload and develop a schedule for each assigned school or classroom
• Develop resource materials for use in speech and language development.
