Remote Speech Language Pathologist job in Mississippi
Position Type: Part-time, 1099 contract
Duration: ASAP - May 24, 2024
Hours: 20 hours per week
Caseload: Headstart program, early childhood
Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify students' speech and language needs.
- Write comprehensive assessment reports and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Deliver speech and language therapy services remotely to early childhood students, ages 3-5.
- Collaborate with parents, teachers, and other professionals to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and goals.
- Provide consultations to teachers and support staff regarding students' communication needs.
- Write and update IEPs in compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Communicate effectively with parents and teachers regarding students' progress and recommended strategies for support.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, Communications.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP).
- Valid Mississippi state SLP license and active license in state of residence.
- Previous experience working with an early childhood caseload preferred.
- Proficient in conducting remote assessments and delivering teletherapy services.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with a remote team.
- 2 years of previous schools-based experience
- Computer, webcam, and basic technology knowledge
- Must be able to pass a technical screening and internet speed test
- Liability insurance; 500K/500K coverage annually
