We are currently seeking an experienced Sign Language Interpreter (SLI), bilingual in English and Spanish for the 2024-2025 school year who is dedicated to making a positive impact on students’ lives through teletherapy and telecommunication, all from the comfort of your own home. 

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Collaborate effectively with teachers, parents, and other team members to ensure comprehensive support for students. 

  • Communicate with school administration and general education teachers to facilitate progress in the classroom.  

  • K-12 caseload (depending on experience). 

  • Zoom Plus application (HIPAA/FERPA compliant). 

  • Additional details to be discussed during our interview.  

 

Qualifications: 

  • Excellent communications and interpersonal skills. 

  • Available full-time or part-time during school hours. 

  • Bachelor’s Level Degree in American Sign Language (ASL) or Education Interpreting from an accredited program. 

  • Valid Educational Interpreter Performance Assessment (EIPA) rating of 3.3 or higher. 

  • Valid Kentucky educational interpreting certification (schools may be open to pending certification) OR Valid RID National Interpreter Certification (NIC). 

  • Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish. 

  • Familiarity with online therapy platforms (Zoom/Teams). 

  • Capable internet and computer set up for virtual work.
