We are currently seeking an experienced Sign Language Interpreter (SLI), bilingual in English and Spanish for the 2024-2025 school year who is dedicated to making a positive impact on students’ lives through teletherapy and telecommunication, all from the comfort of your own home.
Responsibilities:

Collaborate effectively with teachers, parents, and other team members to ensure comprehensive support for students.

Communicate with school administration and general education teachers to facilitate progress in the classroom.

K-12 caseload (depending on experience).
-
Zoom Plus application (HIPAA/FERPA compliant).

Qualifications:

Excellent communications and interpersonal skills.
-
Available full-time or part-time during school hours.

Bachelor’s Level Degree in American Sign Language (ASL) or Education Interpreting from an accredited program.

Valid Educational Interpreter Performance Assessment (EIPA) rating of 3.3 or higher.

Valid Kentucky educational interpreting certification (schools may be open to pending certification) OR Valid RID National Interpreter Certification (NIC).

Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish.

Familiarity with online therapy platforms (Zoom/Teams).

Capable internet and computer set up for virtual work.
