Soliant has partnered with a small school district near Round Lake, IL, and is seeking a contract Speech-Language Pathologist for the upcoming school year.
 
Applicants will be working with 2nd to 4th grade students. Additional information about the caseload will be shared in an interview with school administrators.

Requirements:

  • Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communications Disorders
  • Illinois Speech-Language Pathology License, issued by the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR)
  • Professional Educators' License (PEL), issued by the Illinois State Board of Education

As a school-based SLP, you will:

  • Assess students referred for possible speech and language needs.
  • Present evaluation results and propose IEP (Individual Education Plan) goals at IEP meetings
  • Provide individual and/or group therapy sessions for students with identified speech and language disorders.
  • Develop individualized education plans and present them to parents, school administrators, and others involved with student evaluations.
  • Consult with teachers, counselors, parents, nurses, and administrators on speech and language concerns.
  • Maintain accurate records for all students on the caseload.
  • Provide reports of a student’s progress to parents.
  • Organize student caseload and develop a schedule for each assigned school.
  • Develop resource materials for use in speech and language development.
