Soliant Health, a leading healthcare staffing provider, is currently seeking a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team for a full-time, onsite position at a school district in Tuskegee, AL. As an LPN, you will play a crucial role in providing compassionate healthcare support to students and collaborating with a dynamic team of professionals.

Responsibilities:

  • Administer routine medical care and first aid to students as needed
  • Monitor students' health conditions and ensure their safety during school hours
  • Administer medications and treatments according to physicians' orders and established protocols
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records for students
  • Assist in the management and coordination of students' Individualized Healthcare Plans (IHPs)
  • Collaborate with parents, teachers, and other healthcare professionals to address students' medical needs
  • Provide health education and support to students and their families
  • Participate in meetings and training sessions to stay updated on healthcare policies and procedures

Qualifications:

  • Valid Alabama state license as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
  • High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an accredited LPN program
  • Previous experience in a school or pediatric setting is preferred, but not required
  • Knowledge of basic medical procedures, medication administration, and first aid
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative team
  • Compassionate and patient approach when working with students
