Speech-Language Pathology Clinical Fellow (CFY) - Elementary Caseload

Location: South Tucson, AZ

Position Type: Full-time, Temporary (Second Semester) with Potential for Extension

Overview: We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Speech-Language Pathology Clinical Fellow (CFY) to join our dynamic team for the second semester of the academic year in South Tucson, AZ. This temporary position offers a unique opportunity to work with an elementary caseload under the supervision of experienced and supportive professionals. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive speech and language services to students while gaining valuable clinical experience. Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments to identify speech and language disorders in elementary school students.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address students' communication needs.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other members of the multidisciplinary team to support students' overall academic success.
  • Provide direct therapy services to students, both individually and in group settings.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of assessment results, progress notes, and treatment plans.
  • Participate in team meetings and professional development activities.
  • Adhere to ethical and professional standards in all aspects of service delivery.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Eligibility for or possession of a current state license in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • Successful completion of Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) and eligibility for ASHA certification.
  • Experience or coursework in pediatric speech and language disorders.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Supervision: The CFY will receive ongoing supervision from a licensed and experienced Speech-Language Pathologist to meet ASHA requirements. This supervision will provide support, guidance, and mentorship throughout the CFY experience.
