Social Studies Teacher - High School Level

Responsibilities:

1. Plan and deliver effective and engaging social studies lessons to high school students.
2. Develop and implement a curriculum that aligns with state standards and encourages critical thinking and analytical skills.
3. Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes active student participation and collaboration.
4. Assess and evaluate student progress through a variety of methods, including assignments, projects, and examinations.
5. Provide timely and constructive feedback to students to support their academic growth and development.
6. Collaborate with colleagues to enhance interdisciplinary learning experiences and coordinate cross-curricular activities.
7. Stay informed about current educational trends, teaching methodologies, and incorporate innovative approaches into lesson plans.
8. Establish and maintain effective communication with students, parents, and colleagues to support the overall well-being and success of students.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Education, Social Studies, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
2. Valid teaching certification for the state of Louisiana.
3. Proven experience in teaching high school social studies, with a track record of successful student outcomes.
4. Strong knowledge of curriculum development, instructional strategies, and assessment practices.
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
6. Passion for fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
