Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with special needs
- Adapt general education lessons to meet the needs of students with varying abilities
- Collaborate with other educators, therapists, and support staff to provide a comprehensive educational experience
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date student records and progress reports
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field
- Valid Arizona Teaching Certification in Special Education
- Experience working with students with diverse learning needs
- Knowledge of state and federal regulations governing special education services
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
State-Specific Requirements (Arizona):
- Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
- Special Education Endorsement or Certification
- Knowledge of Arizona State Standards and guidelines for special education services
